Why Choose Floorpan Street Laminate Flooring?
48-Hour Water Resistance
Floorpan Street provides up to 48 hours of resistance against accidental spills that remain on the surface of the flooring. This gives homeowners more time to clean up everyday spills than standard laminate flooring.
However, water-resistant laminate should not be treated as a completely waterproof floor. Water that reaches the expansion gaps, perimeter or area underneath the boards can still cause damage. Spills should therefore be cleaned promptly, and the flooring should never be soaked or cleaned with a saturated mop.
For kitchens, entrances or rooms with an increased risk of water exposure, we recommend assessing the area before installation. Laminate flooring is generally not recommended for bathrooms or rooms exposed to regular standing water.

Extra-Wide Planks for a Spacious Finish
The 249mm-wide boards create a clean and spacious appearance with fewer visible joins across the floor. The 4V bevel defines every plank, while the realistic wood pattern adds warmth and character to modern and traditional interiors.
If you are comparing board thicknesses, finishes and locking systems, our laminate floor guide explains what to consider before choosing a range.
AC4 Durability for Busy Interiors
With an AC4/Class 32 wear rating, Floorpan Street is designed for heavy residential use and suitable light-to-medium commercial applications. It works particularly well in bedrooms, lounges, passages, studies, home offices and appropriate retail or office environments.
Although the wear surface offers reliable resistance against normal daily abrasion, no laminate floor is completely scratch-proof. Felt protectors underneath furniture, suitable chair mats and regular removal of sand or grit will help preserve the finish.

Cleaning and Maintaining Floorpan Street
Floorpan Street is straightforward to maintain when cleaned correctly. Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dust and grit, then use a slightly damp microfiber mop when necessary. Avoid excessive water, abrasive cleaning products and allowing spills to remain around the edges of the room.
Using entrance mats and felt pads underneath movable furniture will also help protect the surface from unnecessary wear.
Professional Laminate Flooring Installation
Correct installation plays an important role in the performance of any floating floor. Before installation, the subfloor must be sufficiently dry, stable and level. The correct underlay, expansion gaps, door clearances, skirtings and finishing profiles must also be considered.
Laminate Floor World provides professional laminate flooring installation throughout Gauteng. Our teams can assess the subfloor, measure the area and complete the installation with the appropriate finishing accessories.
DIY customers should also read our guide to common laminate flooring installation mistakes before starting.
How Many Boxes Will You Need?
Each box covers approximately 2.40m². Divide the total floor area by 2.40 and round the answer up to the next full box. We generally recommend adding between 5% and 10% for cutting waste, depending on the shape and layout of the rooms.

It may be considered for suitable kitchens where spills can be cleaned promptly and there is no existing moisture problem. The room and subfloor should be assessed before installation. We do not recommend laminate flooring for bathrooms or areas regularly exposed to standing water.
